EDGEVEIL + EDGEMSHIELD
VS CURRENT STEALTH TECH
EdgeVeil is an adaptive EM and optical suppression system. EdgeEMShield is a dual-zone active and passive electromagnetic shielding system. Both are grown by EdgeWATS as integral surface layers — not coatings applied after manufacture.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Integration Method | Grown as integral surface layer by WATS — not a coating | Applied coating — peels, chips, maintenance-intensive | Electronic system — adds weight and power draw | Separate enclosure — adds weight and size |
| Frequency Coverage | Multi-band — tunable by WATS recipe layer selection | Fixed band — designed for specific radar frequencies | Broadband but power-limited | Fixed by geometry — not tunable |
| Optical Suppression | Yes — EdgeVeil includes visual band suppression | None — radar only | None | None |
| EMP Hardening | EdgeEMShield — active + passive EMP protection | None — RAM is not EMP protection | Vulnerable — electronics-dependent system | Passive EMP — but no active component |
| Maintenance | None — integral layer, not a surface coating | High — B-2 requires climate-controlled hangar, RAM reapplication | Electronic maintenance cycle | Minimal but adds mass |
| Weight Added | Near zero — grown into existing airframe mass | Significant — RAM coatings add hundreds of pounds | Significant — jamming pods, power systems | Significant — adds full enclosure mass |
| Fabrication | EdgeWATS — same run as airframe, no secondary process | Separate facility, separate process, foreign materials | External vendor — Raytheon AN/ALQ-99 | Separate fabrication and integration |
